Will the fields work in other PDF readers?

Can I make a date field that checks the format?

Yes. Date fields keep and check the yyyy-mm-dd format in readers that run form scripts, and accept plain text elsewhere.

Can I collect the filled forms?

Send the form as a sign request to have people fill and sign it through a link, or ask them to return the filled PDF by mail.

Can I make a Word document fillable?

Convert it with Word to PDF first, then draw the fields on the PDF here. The result works in every PDF reader.

Can I make a field required or give it a default value?

Yes. Each field has a name, a required switch and a default value; choice fields take their options one per line.
