Frequently asked questions
- Does it compare pictures and layout too?
- The comparison is of the text, which is what changes in almost every revision. Pictures are shown so you can see them side by side, but they are not diffed pixel by pixel.
- What if pages were added or removed?
- Pages are paired by their content, not their number, so an inserted or deleted page shows as entirely added or removed and the rest still line up.
- Can I compare scanned documents?
- Run OCR PDF on each scan first so the text can be read; then compare the two results.
- Can I compare a PDF with a Word document?
- Convert the Word file with Word to PDF first, then compare the two PDFs here.
- Can I share the differences with someone?
