Frequently asked questions

Why did CUET (UG) reject my photo?
Almost always the file: a format other than JPG, a size outside the window, or the wrong pixel dimensions. The table above lists what National Testing Agency states; the tool makes your file meet every line it can check and tells you which it cannot.
Does my file leave my phone?
No. The rules come with the page, and the cropping, resizing, compressing and checking run in your browser. Nothing is uploaded to us.
The portal asks for a minimum size and my file is smaller. What happens?
The picture is encoded sharper first. If it is still under the minimum, a comment that every reader skips is added inside the file so that it reaches the minimum; the picture itself does not change.
Can you fix a blurred photo or a dark background?
No. Software can crop, resize and compress; what the picture shows is for the camera. The card under each file names what CUET (UG) asks of the picture itself.
